Branding for The Hot Cuppa, a new Australian cafe.
THE BRIEF:
The Hot Cuppa is an Australian Cafe located in Surry Hills, Sydney. The two owners and coffee lovers decided to follow their passion and open a café. They wanted timeless, modern branding, fun, young and bold. Everyone should feel comfortable when they get their coffee. They wanted a nod to Australian coffee culture. The cafe was founded with one mission: to fuel the hustle and bustle of city life with quality coffee that‘s both convenient and delicious. Whether you‘re a student cramming for exams, a professional powering through a busy workday, or just someone in need of a caffeine fix, we‘ve got
you covered.
THE RESULT:
The first stage of this project was naming: a "hot cuppa" refers to a "hot cup-of-..." so this was the final name selected since it reflected a nod to Australian culture and sounded young, fun and bold. The branding consisted in an icon integrated in a custom wordmark, creating a casual modern look.
